"Expression: Art and the Creative Process"
is an 18 minute video/object theater presentation featuring five area artists.
Shot in and around the Schenectady area, The Magic Lantern Followed the Artists'
progress as they created works of art for the museum. Projected in a specially
designed theater, the artists' works and tools are displayed in the theater. A
sophisticated lighting system, driven by an NSI lighting controller, highlights
works of art and other artifacts in sync with the video. Over 80 lighting cues
are executed during the program. The audio/video system is automated with
manual override and the program is enhanced with Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
